Here’s The Scoop

I would like to introduce myself, Dorene Demers, owner and head baker of Stir Crazy Baking. This sweet ambition of mine made its debut in October of 2021 through social media with the help of my friends and family. Best advertising ever.

Growing up in a French, Irish and Italian home, there was never a shortage of food or baked goods. My mother always cooked for an army and willingly fed anyone who stopped by. Sunday mornings, my father often made his delicate crepes filled with blueberry preserves dusted with more powdered sugar than any child ever needed.

As my teenage years moved along, I came to love baking, a therapeutic escape if you will. The delight it brought to those who enjoyed anything I made was what truly ignited my passion for baking.

Birthday cakes, cookies and endless goodies consistently filled my three children and their friends with memories and enough sugar to last a lifetime. Lucky for me they were also eager product testers.

Here I am today, in my early 50’s, with the support of my family and friends, I am finally able to pursue this dream of mine and embark on this journey of a nut-free bakery.

Nut Allergy

Upon turning 40, I was graced with an anaphylactic nut allergy. Gone were the days of walking into a bakery and ordering anything. Nuts are everywhere, people included! This is where I find my niche.

There are absolutely no nut products in my kitchen. I have tried and true ingredients that are made in a nut free facility as well as personally tested products that are nut allergy safe. I wash and sanitize my little heart out and take all necessary precautions.

Please feel free to address any concerns by contacting me directly. I personally understand nut allergies and how serious they are. I am willing to accommodate for other allergies (ie: dairy, gluten, etc.) but can’t guarantee cross contamination due to shared equipment. What I can guarantee are nut free treats that you may have been missing for years and will leave you longing to order more.
